We are a club that has a lot of fun.
We greatly enjoy our interaction with the Lions from other clubs and the public through our fundraising activities
Gordonvale Lions Club meets at 7.30pm on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at our own clubhouse located beside the the Gordonvale Race and Golf Clubs. For meeting bookings please send us a message.
Major sources of fundraising for the club are the food van, weekly raffles and hire of equipment.
The club has available for hire at very competitive rates:
* Barbeques, tables and chairs
* Sno cone machine
* Air Conditioned club house including kitchen facilities, tables, chairs and a data projector with screen for presentations
*A Merry Go Round for children
* Our food van is for hire but only within the local Gordonvale area

Our club is part of Lions district 201Q2 and has a major focus on providing support to our local community. We cater at the Great Pyramid Race, functions for Canegrowers and Fire Brigade, local sporting functions and Carols by Candlelight in our local park in the center of the town.
We join with other clubs in our district and use our food van to cater at the Relay for Life and the Townsville to Cairns Great Bike Ride. Both of these events are very significant with each one raising over $500,000 for the organisers with proceeds going to cancer research.
So far to date from our club starting in 1968 we have made donations close to 1 million dollars.
